Annunciati i vincitori dei PGA (Producers Guild Awards) 2021. A spuntarla come miglior film è stato Nomadland di Chloé Zhao, che si conferma sempre di più come il possibile vincitore del premio Oscar come miglior film. Negli ultimi 31 anni, infatti, per ben 21 volte il vincitore dei PGA è stato anche il vincitore del premio Oscar più ambito. La pellicola di Chloé Zhao ha trionfato su molti film anch’essi candidati a diversi premi Oscar come Mank, Minari, Judas and the Black Messiah, Promising Young Woman e Sound Of Metal. Il premio di miglior film animato è andato a Soul, che concorreva contro Wolfwalkers, Over the Moon, Onward e The Croods: A New Age.

Dal punto di vista televisivo ottimi risultati per Netflix grazie alle vittorie di The Crown, La regina degli scacchi e The Last Dance.
