Durante il panel al DC FanDome: Hall of Heroes, Zachary Levi ha esordito chiarendo che non sarebbero arrivate grandi notizie sul sequel di Shazam! (e in effetti così è stato).

Svelato, però, il titolo ufficiale del film, che si chiamerà Fury of the Gods, visibile anche nel primo poster del sequel. Ad annunciarlo il regista David F. Sandberg nel corso del panel cui hanno partecipato anche i giovani attori del primo film Asher Angel, Faithe Herman, Jack Dylan Grazer e Meagan Good. Confermato nel cast anche Adam Brody.

Il film ha una data d'uscita fissata per il 4 novembre 2022.

Nella lunga notte del DC FanDome qualche piccola novità anche su Aquaman 2, anch'esso al cinema nel 2022 (il 16 dicembre per l'esattezza). Erano presenti il regista James Wan e l'attore Patrick Wilson (Orm/Ocean Master). La pre-produzione del film è alle porte e il regista ha promesso un film un po' più serio del precedente e "più rilevante per quanto riguarda il mondo in cui stiamo vivendo".
