I 23° Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (premio assegnato dal sindacato statunitense attori) hanno incoronato Emma Stone (La La Land) e Denzel Washington (Barriere), rispettivamente miglior attrice e miglior attore protagonista. Quello di Washington è un premio a sorpresa, che scalza il favorito Casey Affleck; per il cinema premiati anche Mahershala Ali (Moonlight), Viola Davis (Barriere) e il cast di Il diritto di contare.
